National Council of Negro Women
Our Mission
The National Council of Negro Women is an “organization of organizations” (comprised of 300 campus and community-based sections and 32 national women’s organizations) that enlightens, inspires, and connects more than 2,000,000 women and men. Its mission is to lead, advocate for, and empower women of African descent, their families and communities.
Our Programs

We are dedicated to fostering strong community outreach and engagement initiatives that uplift and empower African-American women and families.

Volunteer support at local schools; adopt a school and provide needed supplies that help encourage learning; award scholarships annually to support students in their goal of higher learning.

We encourage social responsibility and leadership through the Butterfly Club, youth council of NCNW Virginia Beach Section.

NCNW VA Beach Section offers scholarships to African-American female high school seniors who have excelled academically, participated in community service, and plan to pursue a post-secondary education.
